Our new facility in Uddevalla

Built for what comes next

On March 26 2026, we welcomed customers, partners and industry peers to the new production facility in Uddevalla for UFABs Grand Opening.

But the day was never intended to be just an inauguration.

It became an opportunity to open up the production environment, share perspectives with customers and partners, and reflect on what it actually takes to build industrial performance in a time where manufacturing faces increasing complexity, higher expectations and constant pressure to adapt.

Throughout the day, visitors were invited into the factory through guided tours, technical stations and conversations together with UFAB’s empowering partners. Rather than creating a traditional exhibition, the ambition was to build a working exhibition directly on the factory floor — showing how production, quality, logistics and collaboration connect in practice.

For UFAB, the new facility represents more than expanded capacity. It is a long-term investment in creating the right conditions for precision, flexibility and continuous improvement.

“In retrospect, it’s probably not the move itself that I’m most proud of, but how the organization handled it,” says Niklas Samuelsson.

“When a lot of things are changing at the same time, both structure and flexibility are required. We managed to maintain our deliveries throughout the entire transition while simultaneously building up a completely new production environment. That says a lot about the people behind the business.”

The event also highlighted how modern manufacturing increasingly depends on connected flows between production, metrology, logistics and collaboration across a wider industrial ecosystem.

The day itself reflected that ambition throughout its different moments. Guests arrived to lunch and opening reflections before gathering for the official ribbon cutting inside the new facility. From there, conversations continued directly onto the factory floor through guided visits and technical discussions together with UFAB’s empowering partners.

The afternoon later transitioned from industrial performance to a broader perspective on responsibility, long-term thinking and the power of commitment. Conservation photographer Tom Svensson shared insights from his work documenting endangered species, anti-poaching efforts and illegal wildlife trade around the world — a reminder that meaningful progress often starts with the decision to care deeply and act with purpose.

The evening continued at Hotel Carlia, bringing customers, partners and colleagues together in a more informal setting. In many ways, it became a natural continuation of the day’s ambition: to create stronger relationships, deeper conversations and the kind of trust that makes long-term industrial collaboration possible.

UFAB would like to thank all customers, partners and guests who participated during Grand Opening 2026 and helped make the day an important milestone in the company’s continued development.

Leading the way towards Industrial Performance™

Industrial Performance™ – our strategy for the future of industry

Today we launch Industrial Performance™ – UFAB’s strategy for the future. A holistic approach that combines human innovation with technological precision to create real business value in every detail. Later this autumn, we will also move into our new facility in Kuröd, Uddevalla – a factory built for modern flows, greater flexibility, and digitalized production.

Industrial Performance™ is about making more with less:

  • improving manufacturability before production release,
  • shortening lead times and reducing costs,
  • building systems that perform better than the sum of their parts.

A Human First Approach

It is also a culture – a way of working internally and with our customers. From CAD and prototyping to complete production systems, we turn complex ideas into reality with speed, precision, and traceability.

At the same time, we are launching a new digital platform – not about colors or design, but about telling our story more clearly: what UFAB stands for, what we deliver, and where we are headed together with our customers.

With production hubs in both Sweden and China, we are a global partner that combines international capacity with local presence. For us, Industrial Performance™ is not a campaign, but a direction – and a promise to our customers.

“Industrial Performance™ is our strategy going forward, but also our promise. We want to be the partner that drives development – and we are ready to do so from our hubs in both Sweden and China,” says Niklas Samuelsson, CEO of UFAB.
